Job summary

GSK is seeking a skilled Warehouse Lead in Nashik, India to oversee daily warehouse operations for pharmaceutical materials, ensuring uninterrupted supply to manufacturing and customers while maintaining quality and compliance. You will collaborate with procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams, leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse or materials management, strong knowledge of cGMP/GDP and SAP ERP, and effective communication in English

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, science, engineering, supply chain, logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics or materials management.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), EHSS requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations.
  • Good communication skills in English and local language as required for the site.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials to support uninterrupted manufacturing and customer supply.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with cGMP, GDP, SOPs, status labeling, documentation practices, and maintain warehouse inspection readiness for audits.
  • Drive effective implementation of Warehouse QMS by managing deviations, RCA, CAPA, change controls, risk assessments, and audit observations.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by implementing EHSS standards and incident investigations.
  • Drive operational excellence through GPS tools, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost, and service.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, forklift operations, internal transportation, and waste disposal while ensuring compliance.

Position Summary

You will lead pharmaceutical warehouse operations that keep our supply network reliable and efficient. You will work closely with procurement, production, quality and logistics teams. This role ensures uninterrupted supply to manufacturing and customers while maintaining inspection readiness, driving operational excellence, optimizing warehouse resources, managing risks, and fostering a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement through effective people leadership and GPS/Lean practices.

Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Manage daily receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and finished goods to support uninterrupted manufacturing and customer supply.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with cGMP, GDP, SOPs, status labeling, documentation practices, and maintain warehouse inspection readiness for internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Drive effective implementation of Warehouse QMS by managing deviations, RCA, CAPA, change controls, risk assessments, audit observations, and ensure timely closure to sustain a robust quality system
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by implementing EHSS standards, hazard reporting (ZAP), incident investigations, CAPA implementation, and ensuring statutory and company compliance.
  • Drive operational excellence through GPS tools, Tier meetings, Gemba, process confirmations, Kaizen, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost, and service.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, forklifts, pallet washing operations, internal transportation, non-hazardous waste disposal, and ensure facilities remain compliant, safe, and operationally efficient.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel through performance management, capability building, discipline, attendance management, and regular one-to-one discussions to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Manage SAP warehouse and dispatch transactions to ensure inventory accuracy, material traceability, and uninterrupted supply.

Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics or materials management.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), EHSS requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations.
  • Good communication skills in English and local language as required for the site.
Preferred Qualification

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience in leading pharmaceutical warehouse operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, GPS/Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing or pharmaceutical supply environments.
  • Certification or training in GMP, GDP, EHS, SAP, or Supply Chain Management.
