Role Description

The Executive Activewear Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for leading the design and development of Musclemind’s activeleisure collections. This role involves creating design concepts, sketching and refining styles, selecting fabrics and trims, and ensuring that each garment delivers on performance, comfort, and aesthetic standards. The designer will collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and marketing teams to align collections with brand vision, production timelines, and market trends. Day-to-day tasks include researching global activewear and lifestyle trends, preparing tech packs, working with pattern makers and sample rooms, reviewing fit and quality, and iterating designs based on feedback. The role also includes presenting collections to internal stakeholders, maintaining brand consistency across product lines, and contributing to community-driven co-creation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in apparel design, including concept development, sketching, and creating detailed technical drawings for activewear and lifestyle apparel.


• Experience with performance textiles, fabric selection, and trims, with an understanding of material properties such as stretch, breathability, moisture management, and durability.


• Proficiency in design and CAD software (e.g., \"Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO or similar tools\") and the ability to produce clear tech packs for production teams.


• Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, and fit, including collaboration with pattern makers and sample rooms to achieve precise silhouettes.


• Background in trend research, market analysis, and consumer insights to translate global activewear and lifestyle trends into commercially relevant designs.


• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present concepts and collections to stakeholders.


• Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work under deadlines across multiple design projects and seasonal collections.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related discipline; prior experience in activewear, sportswear, or athleisure design is highly preferable.


• Awareness of sustainability principles and interest in integrating responsible materials and practices into design solutions is a plus.
