Job summary

Castrol in Pune seeks an Invoice Processing professional to ensure accurate recording and timely payment of vendor invoices within its shared services operations.

You will work with suppliers and internal stakeholders, maintain compliance, handle complex portfolios, and drive process improvements using MS Excel and Outlook.

Experience 1–5 years; strong English; knowledge of WHT/GST in India is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in accounting or invoice processing.
• Experience with India taxes such as GST and WHT is a plus.
• Hands-on experience using MS Excel & Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely recording and payment of vendor invoices.
• Index, process and verify invoices within tight deadlines.
• Manage complex portfolios across multiple countries in O&G business.

• Track and resolve escalated issues; perform root-cause analysis.

About the team:

Our Invoice Processing team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, supporting smooth payment operations and maintaining compliance with company controls and policies. The team works closely with vendors, business stakeholders, procurement, tax, and finance teams to resolve queries, meet SLAs, and drive process improvements.

Key tasks:

• Accountable for ensuring accurate and timely recording and payment of all third-party supplier invoices while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures in the drive for exceptional service, operational excellence and compliance.


• Invoices need to be indexed, processed and verified in an accurate and timely manner within tight deadlines


• Manage more complex & unique portfolio/countries for a O&G business with challenging and constantly changing requirements and demands.


• Establish & manage relationships with stakeholders of different levels of seniority.


• Regularly track and resolve outstanding issues that have been escalated, or further escalated to the necessary parties, complete incident root cause analysis and action closures.


• Provide invoice processing related advice and information to staff across the Castrol Capability Center and its Business Partners as and when required. The role is expected to provide extensive & value added analysis with proposal & recommendations


• Implement best practices for the invoice processing process and proactively identify, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes within the team.


• There is a high financial and reputational risk involved in prompt and accurate payments and invoice processing. Payments and invoices processed to be reviewed thoroughly to ensure completeness and accuracy

Experience required:

• Experience: 1-5 Years


• India accounting knowledge such WHT, GST etc. will be added advantage.


• Hands‑on experience of MS Excel & Outlook.


• Good command over English language - verbal and written
