Job summary

Torrent Power Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to provide end-to-end engineering support for thermal power plant infrastructure. You will coordinate with consultants and vendors, prepare tender specifications, review DBRs and drawings, and ensure timely submission of documents.

Requires a Bachelors or Masters in civil engineering and a minimum of 5 years in civil/structural engineering for 250 MW+ units.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil/structural experience in 250 MW+ thermal plants.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and vendors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Staad Pro and related design tools.

Job Description

• The role involves end-to-end engineering support, coordination with consultants and vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality infrastructure packages
• Develop basic and detailed engineering documents, including tender specifications for infrastructure packages of Thermal Power Plants.
• Review and approve Design Basis Reports (DBR), engineering drawings, and technical data sheets submitted by consultants and vendors. Additionally, profanely required in AutoCAD Software, Staad Pro and design and analytical tools.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, C&l, etc.) to ensure design integration and coordinate with consultants and vendors for timely submission, review, and approval of drawings and documents.
• Perform vendor and sub-vendor technical evaluation and approval.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting engineering status and issues.
• Strong analytical, decision making, and communication skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems and convey technical information effectively

Education:

• Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in civil engineering

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering for Thermal Power Plants with unit capacities of 250 MW or higher.
