Job summary

Volvo Group India is offering the ExcelHer returnship program and seeks an ESW Integration Engineer to bridge software and dataset deliverables for MSW, DST and related components. The 9-month assignment supports professionals restarting their careers with mentorship and cross‑functional exposure.

You will coordinate with release teams, plan resources, troubleshoot tooling, and manage part numbers, configurations, and test devices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics / Computer engineering or equivalent education.
• Well spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• ESW Integration Engineer will be responsible for delivery of all defined Software and Dataset related deliverables.
• This includes all part numbers for MSW, DST and parameter datasets.
• Communicate the forecast, planning and progress of the Release Team to the Local and Global line Organisation along with Software Release Leaders, Project Leader/Project Manager, Configuration Manager, Product Structure Team depending on the deliverables in the concerned project.
• Awareness of Production and AM tool upgrades and set up the required tools and environment for the Release Team.
• Create and maintain the Resource plan
• Problem solving skills to trouble shoot - Prosit/ Protom / SW Configurator issues
• Create Strategy for Unique cases such as validation on S-notes, transition, conversion kit.
• Responsible for keeping the test programming devices working. (interface with Global Aftermarket/Global manufacturing)
• Create new, and/or update (but not be responsible for) E- and D-DCN
• Create or update the node template and test request in configurator.
• Generate SW and DST captions in SEWS
• Register new part numbers for MSW and dataset in KOLA and roadmap
• Perform software download including verification of pre release
• Create Engineering tool release packages
• Act as administrative support to PL, VL when needed. For example create delivery packages to specific test objects, follow up PDM Link approval process.
• Request project scope, time plan and roadmap from project leader
• Request SW and Dataset deliverables from Configuration Managers.
• Request K-DCN including variant setting from KOLA documentation team.
