Job summary

ExcelHer program at Volvo Group India seeks an Electromagnetic Simulation Engineer to restart a career in automotive R&D. Location Bangalore, India.

You will perform 3D FEM EMI/EMC simulations, model CAD, and collaborate with system engineers to align EM designs with vehicle requirements.

Ideal candidates have a post-graduate in Electrical/Electronics and 3+ years in electrical simulations, with strong communication to global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Strong EM domain knowledge.
• Experience with Ansys Maxwell and COMSOL; CAD tools experience.
• 3+ years in electrical simulation in automotive OEM or supplier.
• Excellent communication to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D finite element electrostatic and EMI/EMC simulations for EV components.
• Model CAD, run simulations, and validate results against experimental data.
• Collaborate with system engineers to integrate electromagnetic designs with vehicle requirements.
• Analyze simulation outputs to improve designs and propose solutions.

Required skills and experience

• Electrical/ElectronicsEngineering Post-Graduate or equivalent education.
• Strong domain knowledge in electromagnetic domainrequired.
• Simulation tool experience of Ansys Maxwell and COMSOL preferred along with any CAD tool experience
• At least 3+ yearsof experiencewithin electrical simulationdomainwithin automotive industry for an OEM or a supplier
• Excellent communication skills to convey thesimulation outputs to global stakeholders
