Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking a procurement lead with extensive automotive OEM experience to act as a liaison with suppliers, evaluate based on technical and commercial criteria, and source specialized components with long lead times.

The role requires strong negotiation, contract management, and the ability to ensure timely goods delivery while complying with internal policies. Fluency in reading technical drawings and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics
• Min. 10 years’ work experience and min 5 to 7 years in procurement/indirect purchase, preferably from Automotive OEM
• Working knowledge of SAP / ERP systems and basic costing principles
• Familiarity with handling non-standard parts, custom fabrication, and lab equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive & Multitasking with focus on targeted delivery in terms of time and cost
• Strong interpersonal skills with regular internal and supplier engagement
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Source low-volume, high-mix components with long lead times and limited suppliers

Requirements:

• B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics
• Min. 10 years’ work experience and min 5 to7 years working experience in procurement/ indirect purchase department , preferably from Automotive OEM
• Working knowledge of SAP / ERP systems and basic costing principles
• Familiarity with handling non-standard parts, custom fabrication, and lab equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Proactive & Multitasking with focus on targeted delivery in terms of time and cost etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills, must be willing to regularly engage in-person and over the phone with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to work across multiple software platforms
• Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
