Job summary

Explera DMC International seeks an Event Manager in Hyderabad to grow our events business with Indian corporates, event agencies and travel partners. You will sell and deliver dealer meets, incentive trips, conferences, gala dinners and destination weddings in Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Hong Kong, working with our own destination teams on the ground.

You will own each event from the first brief to the final invoice: concept, proposal and costing, venue and supplier selection,

Qualifications

• 4–10 years in MICE, corporate events, incentive travel or destination weddings.
• Track record of winning and running events of 50–500 guests.
• Fluent English and Hindi; confident presenting to senior clients.
• Willing to travel abroad with groups, often at short notice (valid passport).
• Based in or able to relocate to Hyderabad; valid right to work in India.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with HR, admin and marketing teams at corporates, event agencies and travel partners in Hyderabad and nearby cities.
• Respond to RFPs and briefs with creative concepts, and win events against other DMCs.
• Prepare event proposals with venues, themes, entertainment, AV, F&B and logistics; cost each event with destination teams.
• Plan run-of-show, rooming, transfers, stage, AV and decor with destination teams and suppliers; travel with groups and manage on-site delivery.

Role overview

We are seeking an Event Manager in Hyderabad to grow Explera's events business with Indian corporates, event agencies and travel partners. You will sell and deliver dealer meets, incentive trips, conferences, gala dinners and destination weddings in Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Hong Kong, working with our own destination teams on the ground.

You will own each event from the first brief to the final invoice: concept, proposal and costing, venue and supplier selection, run-of-show, travel with the group and on-site delivery.

Key responsibilities

1. Business development

• Build relationships with HR, admin and marketing teams at corporates, and with event agencies and travel partners in Hyderabad and nearby cities
• Respond to RFPs and briefs with creative concepts, and win events against other DMCs

2. Proposals & costing

• Prepare event proposals with venues, themes, entertainment, AV, F&B and logistics
• Cost each event with our destination teams and protect the agreed margin

3. Planning & delivery

• Plan run-of-show, rooming, transfers, stage, AV and decor with our destination teams and suppliers
• Travel with groups and manage the event on site, including evenings and weekends
• Handle changes and problems on the day calmly and quickly

4. Budget, close-out & reporting

• Track budgets, supplier payments and client billing, and close each event financially
• Collect client feedback, prepare post-event reports and turn events into repeat business

Requirements

• 4–10 years in MICE, corporate events, incentive travel or destination weddings, including events outside India
• A track record of winning and running events of 50–500 guests
• Strong proposal writing, costing and negotiation
• Fluent English and Hindi; confident presenting to senior clients
• Willing to travel abroad with groups, often at short notice (valid passport)
• Based in or able to relocate to Hyderabad; valid right to work in India
