Job summary

Explera DMC International in Bengaluru seeks an Event Manager to grow our Indian corporates’ MICE and destination event portfolio. You will lead proposals, costing, venue and supplier selection, and on-site delivery for events across Asia and beyond.

Responsibilities include business development with HR and agencies, budgeting, run-of-show planning, and post-event reporting to turn events into repeat business. Travel abroad with groups as needed; right to work in India required.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years in MICE, corporate events, incentive travel or destination weddings, including events outside India
• A track record of winning and running events of 50–500 guests
• Strong proposal writing, costing and negotiation
• Fluent English and Hindi; confident presenting to senior clients
• Willing to travel abroad with groups, often at short notice (valid passport)
• Based in Bengaluru or able to relocate; valid right to work in India

• Respond to RFPs and briefs with creative concepts, and win events against other DMCs
• Prepare event proposals with venues, themes, entertainment, AV, F&B and logistics
• Cost each event with our destination teams and protect the agreed margin
• Plan run-of-show, rooming, transfers, stage, AV and decor with our destination teams and suppliers
• Travel with groups and manage the event on site, including evenings and weekends
• Handle changes and problems on the day calmly and quickly
• Track budgets, supplier payments and client billing, and close each event financially
• Collect client feedback, prepare post-event reports and turn events into repeat business

Role overview

We are seeking an Event Manager in Bengaluru to grow Explera's events business with Indian corporates, event agencies and travel partners. You will sell and deliver dealer meets, incentive trips, conferences, gala dinners and destination weddings in Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Hong Kong, working with our own destination teams on the ground.

You will own each event from the first brief to the final invoice: concept, proposal and costing, venue and supplier selection, run-of-show, travel with the group and on-site delivery.
