Job description

Hi Walk is a MICE and event company working on meetings, incentive travel, conferences and exhibitions, alongside corporate events and travel experiences. We bring together creative concepts, event branding and on-ground execution to deliver cohesive experiences for our clients.

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative Event Designer with strong 2D graphic design and 3D visualisation skills. You will translate client briefs into event identities, presentations, collaterals and realistic event spaces, and prepare accurate files for digital display, printing and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept and identity development: Develop event themes, mood boards, logos and key visuals aligned with the client brief, audience, destination and brand guidelines.
• 2D event branding: Design backdrops, standees, signage, badges, bag tags, invitations, certificates, photo opportunities, gifting artwork and other event collaterals. Adapt approved designs across sizes while maintaining visual consistency.
• LED and awards content: Design LED home looks, screen graphics, award openers and winner slides to the confirmed pixel dimensions, aspect ratios and screen layouts.
• 3D event visualisation: Model and render stages, entrance gates, registration areas, photo opportunities, exhibition stalls and venue layouts. Present clear front, side, top and perspective views as required.
• Production and quality control: Check spelling, names, logos, dimensions and approved content. Prepare print-ready artwork and screen-ready exports with suitable resolution, colour modes, bleed and safe areas.
• Coordination and delivery: Work with sales, client servicing and operations teams; manage parallel deadlines, incorporate consolidated feedback and flag delays early. Maintain organised source files, linked assets, approvals and final versions, and support event-site design changes when required.

Required Skills

• 2D design: Typography, colour theory, composition, image editing, vector artwork and consistent branding across print and digital formats.
• 3D visualisation: Accurate modelling, texturing, lighting, camera views, rendering, spatial planning and an understanding of scale and proportions.
• Event production: Large-format artwork, CMYK and RGB workflows, bleed, resolution, LED pixel dimensions and practical fabrication requirements.
• Creative communication: Translate briefs into original concepts; explain design choices and incorporate feedback.
• Project management: Prioritise parallel projects, meet deadlines, proofread carefully, coordinate with vendors and maintain organised files and versions.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Animation, Multimedia, Interior Design or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant professional training and a strong portfolio may also be considered.

Demonstrated experience in 2D graphic design and 3D visualisation is required. Experience with a MICE company, event agency, exhibition company or experiential marketing agency is preferred.

Software and Technical Requirements

• 2D design Essential - Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics, logos and print artwork; Adobe Photoshop for image editing, compositing and digital creatives.
• 3D design Essential - At least one: Autodesk 3ds Max, SketchUp, Blender or Cinema 4D. Ability to produce realistic renders using a compatible renderer such as V-Ray, Corona or Cycles.
• Presentations Essential - Microsoft PowerPoint for client proposals, concept presentations and event decks, including slide layouts, image optimisation and basic animation.
• Additional software Preferred - Adobe InDesign for guides; Adobe After Effects for motion graphics; Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing; Adobe Substance 3D for materials; AutoCAD for dimensioned layouts.
