Job summary

Hester in Kadi, Gujarat, seeks an ITI (Fitter) trained technician to operate and maintain ETP and STP facilities. The role requires monitoring day-to-day activities, planning tasks, and handling chemicals with attention to safety.

Daily logs and maintenance records must be kept up to date. Candidates should be familiar with ETP/STP equipment such as RO plant, UF filter, centrifuge, and related pumps, blowers, and mixers.

Qualifications

• ITI (Fitter) is required and preferred.
• Experience with ETP/STP equipment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with operation, monitoring, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operation, monitoring and maintenance ETP and STP as per defined procedures.
• Monitoring of day-to-day activities and scheduled planning activities.
• Maintain operational data and daily logs, and maintenance records.
• Storage and preparation of consumable chemicals and other materials.
• Handle sludge waste and safe chemical dosing during varying weather conditions.
• Inspect equipment regularly and coordinate GLP and sampling at stages of ETP/STP.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Operation, monitoring and maintenance ETP (Effluent treatment plant), STP (Sewage treatment plant) as per the defined procedure.
• Monitoring of day-to-day ongoing activities and scheduled planning activities
• Knowledge of ETP/STP equipment i.e., Root blowers, pumps, stirrers, RO plant, UF filter, MGF filter , ACF, volute press, filter press, centrifuge, MEE plant , ATFD etc.
• Maintain operational data and daily logs as well as maintenance records
• Storage and preparation of consumable chemicals and other consumable material.
• Ability to understand the load and maintain preparation and dosing of required chemicals, operation harmony of plant in different weather conditions
• Storage, preparation and handling of bio-media/biomass.
• Handling of sludge waste.
• Knowledge of breakdown and preventive maintenance of respective equipment. (Pumps, Blowers, stirrers, motors, gear box, sludge separator volute press/filter press/centrifuge etc.)
• Good coordination skills in GLP , sampling awareness and handlings of effluent sample at various stages of ETP and STP..
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis.
