Job summary

Vaisesika is seeking a QA/Test specialist to analyse requirements and design comprehensive test strategies for ETL/DWH processes and Power BI reports.

You will validate data sources, transformations and UI components while collaborating with the scrum team to ensure quality deliverables. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for coordinating testing activities in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ETL testing and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience validating data sources, transformations and UI of reports.
• Informatica Power Centre experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide feedback and estimates.
• Create detailed, comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test strategies.
• Validate data sources, transformation logics and uploaded data in target tables.
• Validate the UI requirements implemented on the Power BI reports.
• Identify, document and track defects; coordinate with scrum team.

Job description

• Analyse and Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide valid feedbacks and appropriate estimates.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test scenarios, test cases & test strategies.
• Validate Data sources, transformation logics and uploaded data in target tables.
• Validate the UI Requirements implemented on the Power BI reports.
• Validate the calculations of report values against the Data Warehouse data.
• Ability to prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities with scrum team.
• Identify, record, and document the bugs thoroughly in test management, defect & project management tool.
• Ability to perform Sanity, regression, SIT & UAT executions on various environments as and when required.
• Well versed with testing process to apply in Agile/Scrum framework.
• Collaborate with internal & external teams with good communication and soft skills to make sprint deliverables with smooth transition and achieve team goals and objectives.
• Display techno functional abilities to assist development team in debugging and capture the events to pinpoint the issues.
• Hands-on experience with ETL Testing/DWH Testing/SQL
• Experience in Data warehouse concepts and Informatica Power Centre
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
