Job summary

Infosys in Hyderabad, India seeks a data quality tester to validate ETL pipelines and data warehouse layers end-to-end, using SQL checks to ensure accurate, reliable reporting. You will work with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to spot issues early and strengthen trust in data products and analytics.

You will design and execute test scenarios, maintain test data, log defects with clear evidence, and support regression testing to prevent defects from production.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform ETL testing across source-to-target data flows and validate extraction, transformation, and load.
• Execute DWH testing for staging, dimensional, and fact tables with data integrity checks.

• Validate data accuracy using SQL-based checks including counts and reconciliation.
• Perform end-to-end data validation for scheduled and historical loads.

Youll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to test ETL pipelines and data warehouse layers end-to-endspotting issues early, validating transformations, and strengthening trust in reporting and analytics. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ETL testing across source-to-target data flows, validating extraction, transformation rules, and load completeness.
• Execute DWH testing for staging, dimensional, and fact tables, ensuring data integrity, reconciliation, and consistency across layers.
• Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned to business rules and data models.
• Validate data accuracy using SQL-based checks, including counts, aggregates, duplicates, null checks, referential integrity, and boundary conditions.
• Perform end-to-end data validation for scheduled/batch loads, incremental loads, and historical backfills where applicable.
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear evidence, root-cause hints, and impact analysis; collaborate with engineering teams for resolution.
• Support regression testing for ETL/DWH changes and ensure stable releases through structured test execution and sign-off.
• Document test results and provide concise status updates to stakeholders, highlighting risks and data quality trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or equivalent educational background.
• 310 years of experience in ETL testing with strong hands‑on involvement in validating data pipelines and transformations.
• 3–10 years of experience in DWH testing, including validation of warehouse structures and data reconciliation across layers.
• Strong understanding of data validation techniques and ability to translate business rules into effective test coverage.
• Experience creating test cases, executing test cycles, and managing defects through to closure.
