Job summary

EXL is seeking a QA/Testing specialist with strong expertise in data testing and reporting. You will work on end-to-end data warehouse testing, including data modelling to reporting, and ensure quality across batch and real-time data processing.

The role requires hands-on experience with Excel, PowerBI/Tableau, and scripting (Python) along with Agile methods and tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA. You will organize testing activities and guide a testing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing across requirements, planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting testing.
• Hands-on experience with scripting language (e.g., Python).

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements to understand testing needs.
• Estimate resources and budgets for testing activities.
• Organize testing kick-off meetings.
• Define the test strategy.
• Build and manage a testing team.
• Identify training needs and coordinate with Project Manager.
• Develop test plans for tasks and dependencies.
• Arrange hardware and software for the test setup.
• Assign tasks to testing team and ensure workload.
• End-to-End data warehousing testing from modelling to reporting.
• Hands-on database and reporting testing.
• Hands-on scripting with Python or similar.

Job description

• Excel and visualization tool & working experience in PowerBI or Tableau or Similar
• Batch and Real time data processing
• Agile Process (Scrum cadences, Roles, deliverables) & working experience in either Azure DevOps, JIRA or Similar

Responsibilities

Strong In/should have:

• Understanding the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project.
• Estimating and obtaining management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
• Organizing the testing kick-off meeting
• Defining the Test Strategy
• Building a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.
• Identifying Training requirements and forward it to the Project Manager (Technical and Soft skills).
• Developed the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
• Arranging the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup.
• Assigning task to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.
• End to End data warehousing systems from Data modelling to Reporting
• Hands-on experience with Database and reporting testing
• Hands-on experience on at least one of the Scripting/Programming languages like Unit or Python
