Job summary

Zinnov Management Consulting in Bengaluru seeks an ETL Integration Engineer to design, build, and operate ETL/ELT pipelines across databases, ERP, APIs, files, and cloud services. You will ensure data flow quality and performance.

You will utilize Informatica PowerCenter/IDMC, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Talend, SSIS, dbt, and Airflow to move and transform data, optimize SQL, and support production operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional ETL/ELT development experience
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling
• Hands-on with at least one enterprise ETL/integration platform (Informatica PowerCenter/IDMC, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Talend, SSIS, dbt, Airflow)
• Experience with relational databases, files, APIs, and cloud data platforms
• Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language
• Experience with Databricks/Delta Lake, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery
• Troubleshooting, logging, and production-support skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science/IS

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data from databases, ERP systems, APIs, files, and cloud sources
• Create reusable mappings, transformations, and parameterized workflows with proper error handling and logging
• Implement batch, incremental, and CDC patterns and support API/SFTP/file-based integration
• Optimize SQL, transformations, partitioning, and orchestration for performance and cost
• Monitor production integrations and perform root-cause analysis to prevent issues
• Document source-to-target mappings, interfaces, and transformation logic

Job description

As an ETL Integration Engineer, you will design, build, and operate ETL/ELT and data-integration workflows that move and transform data across enterprise applications, APIs, files, databases, cloud services, and analytics platforms. You will combine strong SQL and integration-tool expertise with orchestration, automation, data-quality, performance, and production support practices.

How you'll make an impact

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data from databases, SAP/ERP systems, APIs, SaaS applications, files, and cloud sources
• Build integrations using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IDMC/IICS Cloud Data Integration, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Talend, SSIS, dbt, Airflow, or equivalent tools
• Create reusable mappings, transformations, parameterized workflows, error handling, logging, restart/recovery, and data reconciliation patterns
• Implement batch, incremental, and change-data-capture patterns and support API, SFTP/file, event, and streaming-based integration where required
• Integrate data into Databricks/Delta Lake, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server, Oracle, or comparable warehouse/Lakehouse targets
• Optimize SQL, transformations, partitioning, parallelism, pushdown, and orchestration to improve pipeline performance, scalability, and cost
• Monitor and troubleshoot production integration failures and data-quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive controls
• Apply data governance, metadata, lineage, security, encryption, privacy, and access-control requirements throughout the integration lifecycle
• Automate deployments using Git, CI/CD, environment configuration, and DataOps practices to improve repeatability and release quality
• Document source-to-target mappings, interfaces, transformation logic, schedules, dependencies, operational runbooks, and technical designs

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of professional experience in ETL/ELT development, data integration, or data engineering
• Strong hands-on SQL skills and solid understanding of data modeling, source-to-target mapping, transformation logic, and data-quality validation
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise ETL/integration platform such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IDMC/IICS, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Talend, SSIS, dbt, Apache Airflow, or equivalent
• Experience integrating relational databases, files, APIs, and cloud data platforms and handling batch/incremental data loads
• Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language for automation, data processing, validation, and operational utilities
• Experience with cloud or Lakehouse/warehouse platforms such as Databricks, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server, or Oracle
• Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills, including logging, monitoring, failure recovery, reconciliation, and performance tuning
• Ability to gather requirements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field

Preferred:

• Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Integration/IDMC, Informatica PowerCenter modernization, or migration from legacy ETL platforms
• Experience with streaming/event integration using Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, or equivalent and API-based integration patternsExperience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, DataOps, and containerized or cloud-native integration deployments
• Familiarity with SAP data integration, CDC tools/patterns, and enterprise integration during carve-out or separation programs
• MedTech, Life Sciences, healthcare, or other regulated-industry experience and familiarity with data governance/privacy requirements
• Relevant Informatica, Azure, AWS, Databricks, or cloud data engineering certification
