Job summary

Moksh Corp in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is seeking an Estimator to prepare and manage takeoffs and estimates for architectural and construction projects. The role requires strong proficiency in PlanSwift, AutoCAD, and related estimating tools, with experience reading blueprints and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, update Take Offs, and train junior estimators.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills required (read, write, listen, speak).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and drawings interpretation.
• In-depth knowledge of PlanSwift, BlueBeam REVU RFMS, Measure, etc. is essential.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings from customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Interpret specification sheets from architects/designers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Experience in construction/stone industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates by gathering architectural plans, specifications and related documents for new plans and initiate from the current start schedule.
• Present prepared estimates using PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Master Project or other software with takeoffs.
• Prepare reports using PlanSwift Report Designer or Excel templates by Trade Type.
• Maintain base/elevation/option Take Offs estimates in Master Project or SharePoint.
• Update Plan Take Offs when ARMs/PMRs are released and provide quantity adjustments.
• Collaborate with trade partners, vendors, architectural services and production to reconcile Take Off discrepancies.
• Create/Update Templates in Planswift for corporate/division use; influence cost control in prototype design.
• Train Estimators; assist divisions in estimating trade types as needed.
• Document estimating processes and update Estimating Manual.
• Assist field ops with material overages/shortages.
• Review variance PO’s in Newstar system for approval.
• Conduct field audits to validate product quantities to reduce variances.
• Prepare estimating tracking/ reporting tools and schedule meetings for workload management.
• Prepare Take Off estimates for division purchasing teams for negotiations.
• Attend Manufacturer/Subcontractor meetings; distribute notes.
• Schedule training for Planswift and Pipeline with Ops Manager.
• Schedule/attend internal Estimating Department training sessions.
• Complete other duties as assigned by manager.

KEY RESPONSIBLTIES

1. Prepare estimates by gathering architectural plans, specifications and related documents for new plans and allot specific starts from the current start schedule.

2. Present prepared estimate(s) utilizing PlanSwift Professional Software, AutoCad, Master Project or other software by assembling plan specific trade type Take Offs and master plan Take Offs.

3. Prepare special reports utilizing the PlanSwift Professional Software Report Designer and/or Excel templates by Trade Type.

4. Maintain the database for base, elevation and option Take Offs/estimates in Master Project or on SharePoint.

5. Update Plan Take Offs when ARMs / PMR’s are released and provide quantity adjustments to divisions.

6. Work with trade partners, vendors, architectural services and production department to reconcile discrepancies in Take Offs.

7. Create and Update Templates within Planswift for Corporate and Division use. Collaborate with Architecture in controlling costs on prototype design.

8. Train Division Estimators and Corporate Junior Estimators. Assist Divisions in Estimating on Trade Types as needed.

9. Document process of estimating trade types and update Estimating Manual as needed.

10. Assist field operations in material overages / shortages.

11. Review variance purchase orders assigned to V12 (Newstar system) for approval.

12. Conduct field audits to validate product quantities to reduce variances.

13. Prepare Estimating tracking and reporting tools and schedule regular meetings to facilitate managing the estimating workload.

14. Prepare Take Off estimates for all trade types for the division purchasing teams to utilize in their negotiation with trade partners.

15. Attend Manufacturer and Subcontractor meetings and prepare/distribute meeting notes internally and externally.

16. Schedule and attend any additional estimating classes for Planswift and/or additional estimating software (i.e. Pipeline) with Operations Manager - Estimating.

17. Schedule and attend training sessions for internal Estimating Department.

18. Complete all other duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS
