Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Company is hiring an Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor to prepare accurate cost estimates for Electrical and Mechanical systems on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects in Hyderabad. You will perform detailed take-offs, cost evaluation, and liaise with vendors to ensure timely tender submissions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years' experience, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQ for Electrical/Mechanical systems.
• Source, review & evaluate quotations from suppliers/subcontractors for technical compliance and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare cost estimation sheets, comparison statements and rate build-ups.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather inputs for accurate pricing.
• Develop and maintain estimation tools, cost databases and vendor records.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required to understand conditions.
• Assist in preparation and submission of technical and commercial bid packages.
• Support Estimation Manager in value engineering, risk analysis and final bid strategy.
• Participate in post-tender clarifications and negotiations.
• Ensure estimates comply with DEWA, ADDC, IEC, IEEE where applicable.

The Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Electrical / Mechanical systems related to commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. This includes detailed quantity take-offs, cost evaluation, vendor and subcontractor liaison, and ensuring timely submission of tenders and proposals in alignment with client specifications and project requirements. Analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, scope of work, and project timelines for Electrical/Mechanical works.

Working days: Monday to Saturday

Roles and responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for Electrical/Mechanical systems
• Source, review, and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare cost estimation sheets, comparison statements, and rate build-ups in line with project specifications and market benchmarks.
