Job summary

Devta Electricals is seeking a Design and Estimation Engineer in Navi Mumbai. The candidate will develop understanding of Control Panels, MCC Panels, Power Panels, and related assemblies, and prepare quotations with accurate estimations and diagrams.

The role requires knowledge of electrical power systems, AutoCAD, and strong communication. ISO documentation maintenance and tender preparation are key responsibilities, with a focus on cost-effective electrification solutions.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems, control panels and power panels.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related tools such as CAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Engineering/Industrial Products including Control Panels and MCC Panels.
• Prepare quotations and tenders with proper estimations and diagrams.
• Estimate panel costs referencing SLD/BOQ.
• Maintain ISO documentation and data banks; coordinate with draftsmen.

Job Profile: Design and Estimation Engineer

Eligibility criteria

• Candidate should have indepth knowledge of electrical power system, control panel and power panels.
• Candidate should have to know AutoCAD software
• Candidate should be hardworking, should have good communication skills, fluent English.
• Should have a good understanding of mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation products.
• Desired & Expected Skills - MS Office, Excellent oral & written communication skill.
• Candidates with minimum 2 years of experience & excellent communication skills only need to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Develop a thorough understanding of Engineering/ Industrial Products like Control Panel, MCC Panel, Power Panel, APFC Panel, AMF Panel etc
• 2. To send quotation and tender to the customers with proper estimations and GA SLD Control circuit diagram and Power circuit diagram.
• 3. To Estimate the Cost of Panel with reference to SLD and BOQ Provided.
• 3.Must be hardworking in his given area of job profile.
• 4.Willing to wait after office hours in case the work assigned is not completed
• 5. To maintain a good relationship with existing customers and retain them by offering timely support and service
• 6. Should be able to work under stress and pressure.
• 7. Prepare detailed estimates for different projects of electrification and control panels.
• 8. Develop multi-discipline concepts, detailed and definitive cost estimates for Company Capital Projects.
• 9. Scrutiny of tender documents.
• 10. Evaluating tender documents, drawings, & schedules.
• 11. Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers.
• 12. Comparison Studies based on suppliers Quotations
• 13. Based on Clients budget constraints for any specific project, carrying out Value engineering studies.
• 14. Maintaining ISO documentation, Record Keeping, Suppliers/Manufacturers Data Bank records.
• 15. Delegating Draftsmen for quantity take-offs, cross-checking quantities.
• 16. Pricing for electrical systems .
• 17. Assisting in compiling of tenders.
• 18. Making Pre-Qualification documents, both standards as well project specific questionnaires
