Job summary

Lodha is seeking an experienced EHS leader for our Gurgaon projects to drive safety across sites. The role involves identifying high-risk activities, auditing and improving EHS performance, and guiding construction teams to achieve a zero-fatality safety culture.

You will conduct trainings, implement corporate EHS policy, and collaborate with project heads to adopt internationally accepted practices at sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate in engineering preferably Civil / Mechanical / Electrical with 7 to 14 years of experience.
• Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety/Certified Safety Professional/NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate in OHS/ M.Tech in Safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify high risk activities at sites and implement Lodha EHSM system.
• Guide Construction Management to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct EHS audits and root cause analyses for non-compliance.
• Drive EHS initiatives to improve site safety and performance.
• Identify training needs and conduct EHS trainings for associates and contractors.
• Educate execution team on safe construction practices with detailed specifications.
• Promote EHS awareness and positive safety culture across sites.
• Ensure zero fatality target at each site and implement Corporate EHS policy.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

EHS compliance

Ensure site safety by identifying high risk activities at respective sites & implementing Lodha EHSM system

Guide the Construction Management team in fulfilling their responsibilities towards building a safe working environment:

• Through inspection and EHS audits
• Suggest ways of improving Project EHS Performance
• Conduct EHS audits, analyze root causes for Non-compliance and works towards eliminating them
• Drive various EHS initiatives to make each site a safer working place

Induction and Training

• Identify & Conduct trainings for Lodha associates & contractor staff on various EHS matters relevant to site operations.
• Educating execution team about safe construction of structure like anchoring, building, etc. with detailed specifications & its constructability
• Drive EHS awareness across all levels and inculcation of positive safety culture at each site
• Ensures that zero fatality target is achieved at each site.
• Implementation of Corporate EHS policy across the organization.
• Advise and ensure implementation of EHS best practices.
• Identify gaps in implementation of EHS policy and initiates immediate remedial actions
• Interface with Project heads for various EHS issues and helps to establish internationally accepted practices at sites.

Documentation

• Ensure that legal requirements are updated timely & communicate the same to the concerned sites
• Network with industry forums and government bodies for statutory updates.
• Ensure compliance of legal and medical documents verification for contractors/workers.

• Developing EHS team in the assigned zone in order to help them expand their knowledge and skills to consistently achieve EHS goals
• Team building management and striving for excellence.
