Job summary

Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) is seeking an environmental engineer to drive sustainability projects and ensure regulatory compliance across its operations in India. The role focuses on practical engineering solutions for pollution control, data analysis, and continuous improvement to reduce environmental impact while supporting business goals.

You will oversee effluent treatment and air/waste regulations, coordinate with maintenance and vendors, and prepare technical reports with recommendations

Qualifications

• Experience with chemical effluent and pollution control systems, treatment plants (ETP/STP), scrubbers, and dust control.
• Experience with monitoring equipment for environmental systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environmental standards and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support ESG sustainability projects across operations.
• Plan, implement, and monitor ZLD systems and pollution control measures.
• Manage environmental compliance (air, water, hazardous waste) with local regulations.
• Plan and implement pollution control systems and emission reduction measures.
• Conduct environmental audits, risk assessments, and site inspections.
• Prepare regulatory reports and permits; maintain environmental records.
• Support energy efficiency, waste minimization, and resource recovery initiatives.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and vendors for installation of environmental equipment.
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and recommend corrective actions.

About the role

Key responsibilities:

• Support ESG sustainability projects (Reduce, Reuse ,recycle, Green Belt improvement ).
• Plan, implement, and monitor ZLD systems, pollution control systems and emission reduction measures.
• Manage environmental compliance (air, water, hazardous waste) and ensure adherence to local and national regulations.
• Plan, implement, and monitor pollution control systems and emission reduction measures.
• Conduct environmental audits, risk assessments, and site inspections.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and permits; maintain environmental records.
• Support sustainability projects (energy efficiency, waste minimization, resource recovery).
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and vendors for installation and commissioning of environmental equipment.
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Required Skill:

• Experience with chemical Effluent and pollution control systems (Treatment Plant- ETP/STP, scrubbers, dust control) and monitoring equipment.
