Job summary

SonataSoftware is seeking a Customer Engineer to collaborate with customer teams, providing expert advisory services across Microsoft technologies and SharePoint. The role emphasizes establishing trusted advisor relationships and guiding customers to a healthy and secure state.

Required are deep enterprise SharePoint experience and strong architectural skills, with knowledge across Entra ID and related security and identity topics. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in SharePoint and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale SharePoint solutions.
• Deep knowledge (300 – 400 level) in Entra ID RBAC, account management, group management and related Microsoft identity and security topics.

Job description

As a Customer Engineer, you will collaborate directly with customer teams to provide expert advisory services across a range of technologies. By leveraging structured intellectual property (MIP) engagements, you will establish trusted advisor relationships and guide customers towards achieving a healthy and secure state.

Qualifications & Required Skills-

15+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in SharePoint and Microsoft technologies.

• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale SharePoint solutions.

This role requires deep knowledge (300 – 400 level) in the following technology areas:

Entra ID - Role Base Access Control (RBAC), Account Management (User Accounts, Service Principals), Group Management, Entra ID Enterprise Application Management, Authentication Models (Cloud Auth (PTA/PHS), Federation, Protocols – Oauth, SAML, ODIC, Kerberos, FIDO2 Passkeys), Device Management (Hybrid Join, AADJ), Account Synchronization (Entra ID Connect, Entra Cloud Sync), Azure P1/P2 Features (Conditional Access – MFA, Risk based policies, Reporting, Troubleshooting, Self-service Password Reset (SSPR), Entra Password Protection - Policy configuration, Integration with Active Directory, Entra ID Governance - Privileged Identity Management, Periodic Reviews, Self-Service Access Reviews, Compliance audits), Entra ID Protection, Management - Microsoft Graph API foundational knowledge
