Job description

The Engineering Staff will be responsible for supporting plant engineering, equipment maintenance, utility operations, preventive maintenance, breakdown response, and facility support in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment at Ciron Drugs, Mumbai. This requires Diploma or B.Tech qualification with 1–2 years of experience, basic technical knowledge, safety awareness, and ability to coordinate with production, quality, warehouse, and engineering teams for smooth plant operations.

• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utility equipment.
• Assist in maintenance of HVAC, AHU, compressor, water system, electrical panels, and production equipment.
• Attend engineering complaints from production, quality, warehouse, and support departments.
• Monitor equipment performance, utility parameters, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain engineering logbooks, checklist records, service reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, production staff, QA, QC, vendors, and utility teams.
• Support equipment cleaning, inspection, calibration coordination, and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify leakage, abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, or unsafe equipment conditions.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, permit‑to‑work system, and plant discipline.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation‑related support activities.
• Report machine breakdowns, spare requirements, repeated failures, or safety risks to seniors.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed without affecting GMP compliance and production quality.
• Support proper arrangement of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in engineering and utility work areas.
• Contribute to reliable, safe, and smooth pharmaceutical plant operations.
