Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Portfolio & PMO professional in Chennai to govern Applied AI and Automation initiatives, ensuring adherence to standards and reporting. You will partner with Delivery Managers to track milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans while owning executive dashboards and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience in business/admin or related discipline.
• 7–12 years of experience in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology, Automation, Change Management and Continuous Improvement.
• Proficiency with JIRA/ADO and strong project milestones understanding.
• Experience with Scrum, Sprint Planning, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Governance of Applied AI and Automation portfolio including adherence to standards and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with Delivery Managers to monitor execution, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Own portfolio reporting, executive dashboards, KPI tracking, and management reporting.
• Maintain portfolio data quality and project data hygiene across enterprise systems.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, milestones, and action items.
• Coordinate portfolio planning activities including resource capacity planning and demand forecasting.
• Consolidate project information for portfolio health reporting and executive visibility.
• Facilitate governance reviews, portfolio reviews, steering committees, and leadership updates.
• Track project financial metrics, budget utilization, and forecasting.
• Establish standardized reporting templates and portfolio management best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PMOs, Finance, and leadership.
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and escalations while driving timely resolution.
• Support strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, and executive decision-making with operational metrics and insights.
• Drive continuous improvement via reporting automation and Applied AI solutions.

• Partner with Delivery Managers to monitor project execution, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans across multiple strategic initiatives
• Own portfolio reporting, executive dashboards, KPI tracking, and management reporting
• Maintain portfolio data quality and project data hygiene across multiple enterprise systems
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, milestones, and action items
• Coordinate portfolio planning activities, including resource capacity planning, utilization reporting, demand forecasting, and workforce allocation
• Consolidate project information from multiple enterprise platforms for portfolio health reporting and executive visibility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, another related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
• Typically 7–12 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools, and software packages
