About the Role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager who combines strong technical depth with the ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. While you will mentor engineers and drive execution, your primary responsibility is to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and built with sound engineering principles.

We care far more about engineering judgement than familiarity with any specific programming language or framework.

What You0e Might Do

Technical Leadership

• Own the technical design of backend systems.
• Guide engineers in designing scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Review architecture and challenge technical decisions where required.
• Ensure engineering standards are consistently followed.
• Drive improvements in reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Lead technical discussions during planning and implementation.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews.

Engineering Execution

• Break large initiatives into deliverable milestones.
• Estimate engineering effort and identify technical risks.
• Ensure predictable delivery without compromising quality.
• Remove technical blockers.
• Drive production stability and operational excellence.
• Participate in incident reviews and define preventive actions.

People Leadership

• Mentor Backend Engineers.
• Conduct regular technical coaching sessions.
• Build engineering capability within the team.
• Support hiring and technical interviews.
• Foster ownership and accountability.
• Create an environment of continuous learning.
