Job summary

NEWAGE TECH SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a high-impact engineering leader to guide a 10-20+ member team across multiple squads. You will foster technical excellence, own the roadmap, and align delivery with product goals.

You will partner with PMs, design leads, QA managers, and business stakeholders to ensure priorities are well-defined and delivered on time with quality. You will mentor engineers and drive best practices, architecture decisions, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow a high-performing engineering team of 10-20+ engineers across multiple squads or functional areas, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Define and drive the engineering team's technical roadmap, architecture decisions, and delivery strategy in alignment with broader business and product objectives
• Partner closely with product managers, design leads, QA managers, and business stakeholders to ensure engineering priorities are well-defined, resourced, and delivered on time and within quality standards
• Own end-to-end delivery accountability for complex engineering programs including planning, execution, risk management, dependency resolution, and stakeholder communication
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices including code quality standards, design review processes, CI/CD practices, security compliance, and technical documentation requirements
• Drive talent management activities including hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development planning, and retention of engineering talent
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career growth conversations with engineers at all levels to support individual development and team engagement
• Identify and proactively resolve technical debt, architectural bottlenecks, and cross-team engineering dependencies to improve engineering velocity and system reliability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, business partners, and external stakeholders through clear, transparent, and proactive communication
• Drive engineering culture initiatives including hackathons, knowledge sharing sessions, tech talks, and engineering community building within the organization
