Leadership & Team Building

• Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier engineering talent to scale the team in alignment with company growth.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and guide the career development of your team members.
• Build a culture of engineering excellence, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
• Manage team performance, handle resource allocation, and resolve roadblocks to ensure engineers can execute efficiently.

Technical Strategy & Execution

• Partner with end customers, designers, and founders to translate product roadmaps into technical requirements and architectural designs.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable system architecture.
• Make critical decisions regarding tech debt, infrastructure, and tooling, balancing speed-to-market with system stability.

Delivery Management

• Own the delivery timeline, ensuring features are shipped on schedule without compromising code quality.
• Drive Agile/Scrum methodologies, oversee sprint planning, manage capacity, and track velocity metrics to optimize team output.
• Identify delivery risks early, proactively manage bottlenecks, and pivot technical resources when priorities shift.
• Establish robust release management processes, coordinating with DevOps and QA to ensure smooth, predictable deployments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the technical voice in leadership and product strategy meetings.
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment schedules.
• Communicate complex technical concepts, delivery timelines, and project statuses to non-technical stakeholders clearly and proactively.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
• Startup DNA: Proven experience thriving in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a bias for action.
• Delivery & Project Management: Strong track record of shipping complex, high-availability software products from inception to production, with demonstrated success managing complex delivery schedules, Agile frameworks, and release processes.
• Technical Expertise: Deep architectural knowledge of scalable backend systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern frontend frameworks.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align them around a shared vision.
