Job summary

TKIL Industries Pvt. Ltd. seeks an Engineering Manager for Balance of Plant (BOP) to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive engineering delivery for large thermal power EPC projects in Hyderabad.

You will oversee design, analysis, and coordination across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I disciplines to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The role requires 15–20 years in thermal power engineering with at least 5 years in leadership, plus EPC experience on 500/660/800 MW units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 15 to 20 years of experience in thermal power plant engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary BOP engineering teams comprising Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I disciplines.
• Manage engineering design and execution of Coal Handling, Ash Handling, CW System, Water Systems, Fire Protection, HVAC, Switchyard, and other BOP facilities.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, design calculations, specifications, layouts, and vendor documents.
• Coordinate with BTG, Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Support technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and engineering discussions with clients and consultants.
• Drive engineering progress in line with project schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments.
• Provide technical guidance for site issues, design changes, construction support, and commissioning activities.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and promote value engineering initiatives.

Engineering Manager – Balance of Plant (BOP)

Job Purpose

Lead and manage all engineering activities related to BOP systems for a 2 × 660 MW thermal power project, ensuring timely delivery, technical excellence, cost optimization, and successful project execution from engineering through commissioning.
