Job summary

Tkil is seeking an Engineering Manager Balance of Plant (BOP) to lead multi-disciplinary BOP engineering teams for a 2660 MW thermal power project. You will oversee design and execution across Coal Handling, Ash Handling, CW Systems, Water Systems, Fire Protection, HVAC, and Switchyard, ensuring delivery within schedule and budget while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires 15–20 years in thermal power plant engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership and EPC execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 15 to 20 years of experience in thermal power plant engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership roles.
• Proven EPC execution experience on large thermal power projects (500 MW/660 MW/800 MW units).

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary BOP engineering teams comprising Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I disciplines.
• Manage engineering design and execution of Coal Handling, Ash Handling, CW System, Water Systems, Fire Protection, HVAC, Switchyard, and other BOP facilities.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, design calculations, specifications, layouts, and vendor documents.
• Coordinate with BTG, Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Support technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and engineering discussions with clients and consultants.
• Drive engineering progress in line with project schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments.
• Provide technical guidance for site issues, design changes, construction support, and commissioning activities.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and promote value engineering initiatives.

Job Purpose

Lead and manage all engineering activities related to BOP systems for a 2 660 MW thermal power project, ensuring timely delivery, technical excellence, cost optimization, and successful project execution from engineering through commissioning.
