Job summary

Technogen is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide delivery across Java Spring Boot backend, Angular frontend, API management, and cloud platforms on AWS. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with product, security, and operations to build scalable, secure software.

The role emphasizes engineering excellence, code quality, incident response, and agile practices, with hands-on contribution and governance to ensure reliable deployments and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, career development planning, and talent management activities.
• Drive recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent.
• Provide technical leadership and hands‑on contribution across the full software development lifecycle.
• Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Security, and Business stakeholders to define and deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Encourage open discussion, constructive challenge, and informed decision-making within the team.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, code quality standards, security requirements, accessibility standards, and operational excellence.
• Support production applications, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining appropriate governance, security, and code quality standards.
• Provide leadership and support during critical production incidents, including availability outside core business hours when required.
