Overview:

As an Engineering Manager at Concentric AI, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of talented engineers in the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence, fostering a collaborative team environment, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

People Management:
Lead, mentor, hire and coach a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and individuals and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent.
Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and workload distribution to optimize team productivity and efficiency.
Collaborate with other engineering managers and department heads to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring alignment with best practices, architectural standards, and industry trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions and drive architectural decisions.
Totally understand the product and contribute to the product road map.
Other Responsibilities:
Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and mitigate risks.
Resolve day-to-day project problems or team conflicts, strategize and manage project timelines

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering
Proven track record of at least 2 years in a technical management role, leading high-performing engineering teams.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
Good hands on and understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RMQ) Elasticsearch, SQL, NoSQL, K8s, Kafka streams, etc
Good to Have:
Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Knowledge of container-based development & deployment (e.g. Dockers, rkt)
Should have worked for cloud-based applications, built on micro services-based paradigms, achieving horizontal scaling.
