Job summary

Saur Energy International in Bengaluru seeks an engineering leader to manage a team of designers and engineers, delivering high quality, cost-effective engineering solutions to customers. You will formulate plans, allocate resources, and drive on-time, within-budget delivery aligned with contractual targets.

You will initiate and coordinate continual improvement of processes to strengthen engineering and design capability, apply agile practices, and ensure functional safety and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• BE - Ele B.Tech Electrical and Electronics
• Total Work Experience of 6-8 years
• Hands on experience of DCS and PLC – any brand
• Having good experience in Project Execution / Operational Activities
• Strong and Dynamic in Customer Interaction (verbal and written)
• Basic knowledge of SAP
• Team Management skills — 2-3 Team members involved in Hardware Engineering, Testing & Quality
• Proper coordination with necessary stakeholders like Commissioning & Engineering leads

Responsibilities

• Providing direction to the engineering team with a focus on functional safety, cybersecurity, on time delivery, quality, and margin improvement.
• Ensuring the projects/operations value chain portfolio follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures and that the projects are closed as per the contract specifications.
• Initiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering/design capability and efficiency, utilize agile methodologies to reduce engineering lead time, and enhance functional safety and cybersecurity.
• Driving team performance to ensure that the deliverables are met on time and as per the set contract specifications and safety, cyber security, and quality requirements.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective, and timely engineering solutions to customers. Each day, you will formulate plans and allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. You will also showcase your expertise by initiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability.

The work model for the role is: Onsite.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Providing direction to the engineering team with a focus on functional safety, cybersecurity, on time delivery, quality, and margin improvement.
