Job description

The Engineering Data Specialist is responsible for managing engineering information, data structures, and engineering data processes across global projects and systems. The role acts as the primary interface between engineering teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure engineering information is structured, accessible, and effectively utilized throughout the project lifecycle. The position focuses on engineering information management, process standardization, system integration, and digitalization initiatives, while partnering with Data Quality Engineers to ensure adherence to established quality standards.

What You Bring

• Power Industries, Energy or Mobility industries like Alstom.
• SAP MM/BIM models, mechanical software or electrical designing tools.
• 3-5 years of experience in engineering data management or engineering systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering documents, data structures, and workflows.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in power generation, Mobility, Thermal, EPC, or industrial plant engineering.
• Knowledge of data governance and master data management principles.
• Experience with data automation and scripting (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA).
• Experience working in a global engineering organization.
• Passion for digitalization and continuous improvement.
