Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a Gas Turbine Service Engineering Technical Data-Management Engineer to maintain and improve the data foundation for outage preparation. You will work with Engineering, Field Service, and international teams to keep technical information accurate and up-to-date.

You will analyze data structures, ensure quality, and drive continuous enhancements of our technical data landscape; strong SQL/DB skills and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in power generation, energy, or gas turbine sectors.
• Knowledge of gas turbine technology and service aspects; generators/steam turbines are a plus.
• Experience with technical databases, data management systems, or documentation tools.
• Strong data quality mindset and structured processes.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle APEX, or similar tools is beneficial.
• Excel/Power BI or similar analytics tools desirable.
• Experience in intercultural, global teams; good English communication; German an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, administer, and ensure quality of technical data in the global documentation tool.
• Analyze datasets for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and data quality.
• Define, monitor, and improve data quality standards.
• Coordinate technical content with Engineering, Field Service, and other departments.
• Translate technical requirements into structured data models.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate data maintenance activities.
• Identify data gaps and optimization opportunities; implement corrective actions.
• Perform regular data validation and plausibility checks.
• Support tool development by defining business requirements and enhancements.
• Create structured defect descriptions and issue reports for IT teams.

As a Technical Data Management Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and continuously improving the data foundation of our globally utilized Outage Preparation. Working closely with Engineering, Field Service, and international stakeholders, you will ensure that technical information is accurate, consistent, up-to-date, and of the highest quality.

You will analyze existing data structures, ensure their quality and accuracy, identify opportunities for improvement, and actively drive the continuous enhancement of our technical data landscape.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years professional experience in the power generation, energy, or gas turbine industry
• Knowledge of gas turbine technology and the associated service aspects; knowledge of generators and steam turbines is a plus.
• Experience working with technical databases, data management systems, or documentation management tools.
• Strong analytical mindset and a pronounced affinity for data quality and structured processes.
• Experience in analyzing, maintaining, and managing complex datasets.
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle APEX, or comparable database and development tools is beneficial.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics and reporting tools is desirable.
• Experience working in intercultural teams within a global environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage.
• High degree of initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• A pragmatic working style combined with a passion for continuous improvement, digitalization, and process optimization.
