Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer in Bengaluru to lead complex projects and deliver robust design solutions. You will prepare design reports, calculations, and loads, while supervising junior engineers and coordinating with CAD/BIM teams.

The role requires strong communication, project management experience, and fluency with standard design software such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, ETABS and Revit.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in structural design engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge in structural design.
• Familiar with US codes, standards, and practices in structural engineering.
• Proficient with structural design software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design reports, calculations, loads and stresses for structures.
• Prepare Excel spreadsheets for design calculations.
• Supervise junior engineers on projects.
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM teams for drawings.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure design integrity.
• Stay updated with innovations and best practices in design.

Job description

ROLE

• – Preparation of Design Reports, Design calculations, loads and stresses related to different structures
• – Good command on Excel, Preparation of spreadsheets for design calculation
• – Supervision and guidance to Junior Engineers on various projects in line with client requirements
• – Worked on water retaining structures and different concrete structures
• – Provide design input to CAD/BIM and co-ordinate with CAD staff for preparation of drawings
• – Liaison with other team members to produce good design solution as per the best design practice
• – Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
• – Building a profile in the industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments
• – Compliance of business management system
• – Health & Safety Management
• – Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time
• – Good communication skills

REQUIREMENTS

• – Minimum 6 to 10 years’ experience in Structural design Engineering
• – Sound technical knowledge, academically good
• – Familiar with US codes, standards, and practices related to Structural Engineering
• – Awareness of software used for Structural Engineering
• – Basic knowledge of Staad Pro, AutoCAD, Etabs, Robot, Mathcad, Master series, Revit, BIM etc
• – Good knowledge of Microsoft office
• – A strong, self-motivated, and assertive person capable of working under pressure
• – Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• – Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement
• – Working in a project management role, have project management experience
