Job summary

AECOM Bengaluru is seeking a structural design engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience in water and wastewater projects. You will design concrete and steel structures, perform calculations, and work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.

You will collaborate across disciplines in a hybrid work model, contributing to safety-focused design and adherence to international codes while developing your Chartered Engineer aspirations.

Job Family Summary

• Undertake the design and review of Structural elements on water and wastewater infrastructure treatment projects including water retaining Structures, reservoirs and pump stations, pipeline structures, Industrial building’s structure, water and wastewater treatment and associated structures.

Job Profile Summary

• 3 to 6 years of experience as a structural design engineer, preferably with a focus on water and wastewater-related design projects.
• Structural Analysis and Design, Preparation of structural calculation reports, design calculations using Excel and other in-house software.
• Excellent technical skills in design for Concrete and steel structures.
• Able to correlate and interpret the data shared by supporting interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate and collaborate effectively with the other disciplines.
• Able to work in a complete life cycle of a design project within Water and Wastewater environment under supervision of senior engineers.
• Familiarity with international codes, including Eurocodes and American codes Code of practices.
• Familiarity with various software packages, ideally including Autodesk Robot, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE and SAP 2000.
• Able to work effectively in a diverse team spread across various geographical locations.
• Strong understanding of safety in design and related practices
• Performs and ensures quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status will be advantageous.
