Job summary

Khatib & Alami in Bengaluru is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to support structural design and analysis on building projects under the guidance of senior engineers. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 0–3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building projects.
• Internship or project experience in structural design is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and masonry building elements.
• Develop preliminary structural models using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
• Prepare design calculations, sketches, and technical documentation under supervision.
• Support the creation of structural drawings in coordination with CAD/BIM teams.
• Coordinate design information with architects, MEP engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance with design requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and provide follow-up on assigned tasks.
• Conduct basic site inspections to understand construction practices and verify design implementation.
• Assist in resolving technical queries (RFIs) from contractors and site teams.
• Maintain project documentation, logs, and design records.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (IS codes, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, etc.).
• Follow internal quality processes, checklists, and engineering workflows.
• Support senior engineers in performing structural safety checks and validations.
