Job summary

SOBHA Bangalore is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to lead analysis and design for high-rise residential and commercial projects. You will work with architects, MEP teams, and contractors to deliver safe, compliant structures.

The role requires 3–10 years of experience, a Masters in Structural Engineering, and proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit. On-site Bengaluru work with project teams is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures for high-rise buildings.

• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors for integrated designs.
• Provide site execution support and respond to RFIs during construction.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve on-site structural issues.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Masters Degree in Structural Engineering.

WORK EXPERIENCE

3 to 10 years of experience in structural design, specifically for high-rise residential or commercial buildings.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Strong ability to analyze complex problems and develop safe, efficient, and practical structural solutions. Stay updated with the latest developments in structural engineering, materials, technologies, and software tools. Takes ownership of their designs, ensuring safety, compliance, and integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures for high-rise buildings using industry-standard software.
• Prepare and review detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications in collaboration with drafting teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IS Codes, NBC, Eurocode, ACI, etc.).
• Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
• Prepare construction documents and assist with site execution support during construction phases.
• Participate in design review meetings, respond to RFIs, and resolve on-site structural issues.
• Proficient in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Solid understanding of RCC design, seismic design principles, and foundation systems.
• Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
