Job summary

Emerson is looking for a Project Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in valve or related products to manage orders, coordinate with planning and purchasing, and ensure compliance with EMS/ISO standards. The role involves leading project kickoffs, maintaining clear documentation, and delivering on-time performance through cross-functional collaboration.

You will work closely with Operations and Logistics to meet customer requirements, provide status updates, and support export/document control

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
• 4–5 years work experience in similar industry and products.
• Project management experience in valve or related products is a plus.
• Awareness about EMS & ISO 45001 practices.
• Experience in ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018 - ISO 9001:2015 procedures & instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming orders and ensure alignment with quotes; report abnormalities and seek corrections.
• Plan and execute project kickoff meetings; provide clarity to plant team on customer requirements.
• Ensure right specification and document approvals for Operations to execute orders.
• Coordinate with planning and purchasing to meet on-time delivery and avoid duplicate procurements.
• Track specification changes and communicate with stakeholders; ensure implementation.
• Provide periodic project summaries and status reports to management.
• Monitor progress and record discussions for distribution to stakeholders.
• Ensure post-order corrective/preventive actions against customer complaints.
• Ensure export compliance with Emerson trade requirements.
• Support quoting project lead times, pricing for constructions/options; ensure conformance to standards.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Review incoming orders (commercial and technical) and ensure that they are received in line with what was quoted. Report abnormalities and seek appropriate corrections from the respective stake holder
• Plan and execute project kick-off meetings and provide clarity to plant team on customer requirements
• Ensure right specification and document approval are in place for entire Operations team to execute the orders.
• Take advance action for long lead items and also work with planning to avoid duplicate procurements.
• Work with planning and purchase to drive material to meet on time delivery
• Track specifications changes and communicate to the internal stake holders and follow up for implementation.
• Provide periodic project summary and status reports to the concerned stake holders and Management
• Monitor and review the progress at appropriate intervals based on the priority and delivery schedule. Record the discussion and circulate to the participants and other stakeholders
• Ensure the effective implementation of post order Corrective & Preventive actions against the customer complaints
• Ensure compliance with all applicable export requirements and keeping abreast of Emerson s International trade compliance requirements.
• Providing support on quoting project lead time, pricing special constructions/options and ensuring conformance to EPMCPL standards wherever possible.
• Prepare and submit monthly order booked and sales projection to management.
• Project costing, discussing with Operations team on capability development regarding valve models and testing requirements.
• Participate in slim spec and GP improvement activities. Get regular update from ME and GSC teams on capacity and capability of the plant. Share with global partners at the appropriate forums
• Prepare Monthly inspection plan and communicate to PM. Ensure approved documents are in place at least two weeks in advance before sending NOI
• Ensure that the overall project schedule is met though coordination with both external and internal parties
• Ensure timely submission of trade compliance documents for Incoterm closure/ sales recognition - by closely working with logistics team at EPMCPL and with customer appointed forwarders
• Ensure to dispatch importation documents for destination clearance/customer site after getting necessary endorsement from Chambers/Embassy and other project specific documents - by closely working with customer appointed forwarders & PM
• Manage or validate sale order details in oracle transactions before providing shipment clearance to logistics

For This Role, You Will Need:
