Job summary

Emerson is seeking an experienced engineering professional at the Fisher Chennai Engineering Center to support application engineering on large Europe projects. You will review specifications, size and select control valves using FisherFirst, and prepare technical and commercial quotes, while mentoring less experienced engineers.

You will collaborate with Sales, GIS/SPG teams and project managers to ensure on-time submissions, address technical issues, and maintain thorough records.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of control valve products and industry application.
• Knowledge on Fisher products and accessories would be a plus.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in control valves engineering.
• Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms.
• Develop and present innovative solutions for problems if they may arise.
• Optimizes work processes and improves performance metrics.
• Awareness of other Emerson products & Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products.
• Should be an effective team player for on-time project submission.

• Support Sales office after the issue of PO and prepare transaction for order entry.
• Provide technical support for OE /factory clarifications and assist with change orders.
• Maintain records of all work done.
• Key contact for all technical issues related to the LBP supported.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Review project specifications and prepare deviations list
• Clarify doubts on technical specifications through conference calls with Sales office/LBP
• Sizing and selection of control valves using proprietary FisherFirst software
• Contact GIS/SPG teams as and when required for critical application solutions/special prices
• Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations list and generate reports and drawings
• Provide support on project revisions from Customer
• Support Sales office after the issue of PO and prepare transaction for order entry
• Provide technical support for OE /factory clarifications and assist with change orders
• Maintain records of all work done.
• Key contact for all technical issues related to the LBP supported
• Check quotations based on MIB strategy made by less experienced engineers and document errors and act as a mentor in the team
• Monitor RDSL, PDSL & RFT performance for the LBP supported
• Analyse RFQ scope & resource availability and commit to a deadline
• Handle internal training programs
• Readiness for Inhouse engineer support
• Able to handle all severe service applications
• Independently handle quote to commit process
• Experienced to handle TBE meetings with customers independently.
• Troubleshoot site issues
