Job summary

Hyosungtndindia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in transformer components. You will create outline GA and manufacturing drawings, and perform 3D modelling in major CAD tools.

The role requires knowledge of international standards for Power Transformers, Shunt reactors and special transformers, plus strong communication and time management skills. On-site work with a 5-day week and meal allowances is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in mechanical engineering or diploma with relevant experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical design of transformer components.
• Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills for transformer drawings and layouts.
• Experience with outlining GA drawings and manufacturing drawings.
• Hands-on proficiency with 3D modelling in major CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare error-free 2D and 3D drawings of transformers and components.
• Design and optimization of mechanical components for transformers (e.g., tank).
• Analyze customer specifications and standards to generate compliant drawings.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure designs are producible.
• Adhere to international standards for power transformers, shunt reactors, and special transformers.

Job description

• Candidate must have work experience of DistributionTransformer & Power transformersmechanical designs & drawings
• Candidate should have experience of drawings like Outline GA drawings &manufacturing drawings
• Candidate must have hands-on experience in 3D solid modeling in Solid works /Autodesk Inventor / Solid edge / UG.NX / Creo or any other 3D software. (Solidworks / Solid edge will be added advantage)
• Should have hands-on experience of AutoCAD 2D drawings, layout of PowerTransformer in 2D
• Should have knowledge of design and optimization of mechanical components fortransformer. Components like Tank.
• Candidate shall be able to understand the customer requirements fromspecifications and relative standards.
• Should have knowledge of various types of International Standards related toPower Transformers, Shunt reactors & special transformers.
• Candidate shall be able prepare error free drawings with the help ofchecklists and relative documents.
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical
• 5 to 10 years
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic computer software like Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
• Proficient in 2D CAD and 3D modelling in Solid works / Solid edge.
• Preferred from manufacturing industry only.
