Job summary

ENPAY Transformer Components is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to lead electrical maintenance across plant and utility systems. The role requires deep expertise in reading SLDs, PLCs, servo drives, and SCADA, with a track record of solving complex machinery faults and driving reliability improvements.

The candidate will manage preventative programs, cost controls, and spare parts planning while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge to read SLD and electrical drawings; diagnose and prevent motor, switch gear, SCADA issues.
• Good troubleshooting to identify encoder, drive, and electronics errors and take corrective action.
• Depth knowledge of PLC, HMI backup, servo drive parameter setting, and control logic implementation.
• Experience resolving breakdowns of plant and CNC machinery, cranes, transformers and power systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment; diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Cost effective maintenance, spare part management and maintenance budget handling.
• Provide effective electrical solutions with strong problem solving and decision making.
• Erection, commissioning, project work and modification activities for plant improvements.
• Leads maintenance technicians; ensures high efficiency and coordination with teams.
• Technical support to maintenance team; coordinate with vendors and management to minimize downtime.
• Develop and transfer skills within maintenance team; maintain relevant MIS records.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance; actively implement improvements.
• Monitor maintenance activities; prioritize critical jobs and coordinate AMC providers.
• Liase with outside agencies to ensure statutory compliance and certificates.
• Knowledge of gas, electric-fired ovens and furnaces; troubleshooting routines.
• Ability to redesign electrical circuit diagrams as per new requirements.
• Knowledge of 5S, TPM pillars and Quality Circle practices.
• Prepare maintenance work instructions, policies, and MIS reports.

Responsibilities

• Initiate preventive maintenance to improve power factor, energy savings and cost control.
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems; diagnose and troubleshoot promptly.
• Manage maintenance budget and spare parts for cost efficiency.
• Provide complete electrical solutions with decisive problem solving.
• Lead machinery erection, commissioning and project modifications for improvements.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and coordinate with vendors and management.
• Provide technical support and maintain records for integrated management systems.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance; monitor and optimize activities.
• Coordinate AMC activities and ensure compliance with regulations.

Role & responsibilities

• In Depth knowledge to read SLD, Electrical Drawing, ladder logic and having more experience to practically identify, diagnosis and preventive measures of Motor, Switch gears, Scada and electronic component etc.
• Having Good troubleshooting skill to finding out servo motor, encoder, drive, Electronics cards errors and take corrective action to upkeep the machinery.
• Having Depth knowledge of PLC & programming, HMI program backup & transfer, servo drive parameter setting, control logic implementation etc.
• Having More practical work experience to resolve any breakdown of Plant conventional & CNC machineries, EOT cranes, power transformer, DG Set, Air compressor, STP/ETP plant, HT/LT panel room, 11 KV substation and handling emergency situation.
• In depth Knowledge to initiative conceptualizing & screening of plant maintenance activities to improve power factor, Energy & Cost saving and Continuous monitoring of electricity and having experience to take necessary corrective action to reduce the same.
• Basic knowledge about pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and having practical experience to diagnosis and troubleshooting immediately.
• Having basic sense about Cost effective maintenance, spare part management and maintenance budget and having strong action plan to control it.
• To provide the entire effective & mistake proofing Electrical Solution as per Requirement and must have problem solving and decision- making skills.
• Good expertise for Plant machinery erection and commissioning / project work/ modification work for betterment of organization.
• Leads the Maintenance technicians and ensure a high level of efficiency within the team by systemically approach.
• Providing the technical support to maintenance team and elevate the issue to inter department, vendor/supplier and higher management for fast efficient solutions to prevent /minimize downtime.
• Competent to develop skill set of their bottom line maintenance team by sharing practical work experience and knowledge.
• Having good understanding to prepare, update and maintain all the relevant records (integrated management system) concern to the department to fulfill the plant maintenance compliance.
• Basic awareness about planning and scheduling of Preventive maintenance activities & aggressively implementation, monitoring and take necessary action to upkeep of equipment or machinery.
• Experience to monitoring and controlling of maintenance activities, maintenance work practices and prioritize the critical jobs, carry out scheduled and chance-based maintenance of electrical equipment to upkeep the equipment.
• Deep insight and collaborating with outside agencies to perform AMC activities as per the schedule and ensure its effectiveness (i.e. handling equipment, EOT crane, Split AC, RO System etc.) by preparing, updating and aggressively monitoring.
• Good understanding to liasoning, coordinating & ensuring the statutory & legal compliances are maintained and up to date in accordance with relevant legislation i.e. Electric Inspection, State Electricity Board and ensure upkeep of all the certificates /correspondence documents.
• Should have basic knowledge of Gas, Electric fired OVENs and Furnaces and having practical experience to diagnosis and troubleshooting & Proactive approach.
• Should have basic knowledge to make & redesign the electrical circuit diagram as per the new requirements.
• Should have practical knowledge of 5s, TPM pillars and Quality circle to initiate actions respectively.
• Having Good knowledge to prepare maintenance work instructions, policies, strategies, procedure & process to develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives & continuous improvements & prepare MIS report (Summary of Maintenance performance).

Preferred candidate profile

Applicants from B.E. Electrical/Electronics Engineering, with an experience of 03 to 06 years in Plant & utility.

Also having computer knowledge enough to perform the required task, Having Good Analytical and multitasking skills, Competent in problem-solving, Good in maintenance planning & scheduling, Inventory control, People management Teamwork and motivational skills. A knowledge of SAP would be preferable.
