Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day robotic welding/fabrication operations and achieve production targets.
• Manage robot operators, welders, fitters and technicians.
• Monitor and optimize robot programs, welding parameters, cycle time and robot utilization.
• Ensure fabrication conforms to drawings, WPS, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, PPC, Maintenance and Tool Room.
• Troubleshoot robot, welding, fixture and process-related issues.
• Improve OEE, arc-on time, cycle time, first-pass yield and robot availability.
• Reduce welding defects, rework, rejection and consumable wastage.
• Support development and improvement of robotic welding fixtures and processes.
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with robot-cell safety and shop-floor safety requirements.

Role Summary

Lead and supervise robotic fabrication operations, maximizing robot utilization, productivity and welding quality while effectively managing Man, Machine and Material.

• Knowledge of weld accessibility and sequence planning
• Good knowledge of MIG/MAG/FCAW welding processes.
• Knowledge of welding parameters, WPS/PQR and defect troubleshooting.

• Strong manpower and shop-floor leadership skills.
• Experience in heavy engineering / mining / construction equipment / crusher / screening / conveyor manufacturing preferred.
