Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Quality Documentation Engineer in Irungattukottai, Chennai to prepare ITPs, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain quality documentation across projects.

You will work with NDE and welding procedures, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in quality documentation, quality control, or related engineering function.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ASME, ISO, API and other relevant standards.
• Understanding of customer specifications, identification and traceability requirements, and quality documentation processes.
• Knowledge of NDE methods, welding techniques, material testing, and raw material manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with factory acceptance testing including hydrostatic, seat leak, functional, cryogenic, flow, and gas testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) based on customer and project requirements, ensuring alignment with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop NDE and welding procedures and respond to customer queries related to quality documentation.
• Collaborate with NDE Level III personnel when specialized technical input is required.
