Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Quality Documentation Engineer in Irungattukottai, Chennai to prepare critical quality documents and ensure compliance with customer specs and international standards. You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to drive timely project delivery and maintain traceability across products and testing requirements.

You will work with ITPs, NDE/Welding procedures, and document management systems to deliver accurate, on-time quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in quality documentation, quality control, or related engineering function.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ASME, ISO, API standards.
• Understand customer specifications, identification and traceability requirements, and quality documentation processes.
• Knowledge of NDE methods, welding techniques, material testing, and raw material manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with factory acceptance testing, including hydrostatic, seat leak, functional, cryogenic, flow, and gas testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) based on customer and project requirements, ensuring alignment with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop NDE and welding procedures and respond to customer queries related to quality documentation.
• Collaborate with NDE Level III personnel when specialized technical input is required.
• Manage documentation within the document management system and ensure effective handover to internal stakeholders.
