Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Engineer Projects (Fresher) to join our telecom projects team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a keen interest in fiber optic communication systems, transmission technologies, and telecom network infrastructure. This role involves working on-site, supporting the installation, commissioning, testing, integration, and maintenance of telecom network elements under the guidance of experienced engineers. Fresh graduates with a willingness to learn, travel, and build a career in telecom project execution are encouraged to apply. .

Key Responsibilities

• Carry and maintain installation tools and Installation Required Materials (IRM).
• Conduct site surveys as per defined formats and submit reports to the Project Manager.
• Maintain standard commissioning and cleaning kits.
• Perform material verification at site against the Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
• Act as an on-site mentor for installation teams to ensure quality and workmanship standards.
• Validate Installation Design Plans (IDP) before equipment installation and ensure adherence.
• Perform pre-checks before powering devices and commission nodes as per commissioning plans.
• Conduct video fiber scoping for equipment hardware and patch cords.
• Execute nodal acceptance testing as per standard documents along with customers.
• Perform patch cord routing, scoping, and insertion loss testing while maintaining records.
• Lead activities for LSPM, integration, and closure of observations.
• Conduct Link Acceptance Tests (LAT) with customers and document results.
• Coordinate with Technical and QA teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Ensure proper labeling of patch cords, power, grounding, and LAN cables.
• Coordinate with customers for site acceptance and punch point clearance.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Basic understanding of fiber optic communication systems.
• Experience in transmission technologies such as SDH, OTN, and DWDM.
• Strong skills in transmission equipment configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with network analysis instruments such as OSA, OTDR, Ethernet/SDH/OTN testers.
• Familiarity with tools such as VOA, Laser Source, Power Meter, Video Fiber Scope, and VFL.
• Knowledge of installation standards, tools, and best practices.
• Understanding of fiber optic patch cords, connectors, and couplers.
• Ability to support installation and commissioning of network elements.
• Knowledge of Ciena products such as 6500, 6500 RLS, Waveserver Ai, Waveserver 5, 6500 T-12 & T-24.
• Ability to read and interpret network design documents.
• Multi-OEM product knowledge is an added advantage.
