Job summary

Koch is seeking a Product Stewardship Engineer to ensure our products meet regulatory, environmental and safety standards. You will drive compliance initiatives, partner with design, PDP and supply chain teams, and manage supplier documentation for REACH, RoHS, DONU, FMD and related reports.

You will collect supplier compliance data, maintain EH&S documentation in SAP-EHSM, and monitor regulatory changes to update product designs and processes.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in product stewardship or regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of global environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS, DONU, FMD).
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental field or related
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product compliance activities with suppliers to obtain necessary documentation.
  • Obtain supplier EH&S declarations and certifications, DoNU, REACH, RoHS, FMD and other directives.
  • Develop and maintain SDS, declarations and technical files.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement amendments to product designs and processes.
  • Handle Customer Environmental Requests (CER) and surveys.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage chemical and material risks.

Your Job

As a Product Stewardship Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards. You will be responsible for driving compliance initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with materials, components, and product design.

As a Product Stewardship Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards. You will be responsible for driving compliance initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with materials, components, and product design. Your role will involve various projects, including to collecting supplier product compliance data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date EH&S regulatory documentation encompassing Substance test reports, Composition reports/FMD, RoHS, REACH, EH&S compliance declarations/certifications, Declaration of Non-Use (DoNU's) and Substance test reports within SAP-EHSM.

You will be joining the Product Stewardship team, a dynamic group of engineers and professionals dedicated to ensuring that our products meet global regulatory standards We work closely with various departments, including Design, PDP and Supply Chain, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of environmental and regulatory compliance.

What You Will Do
  • Lead product compliance activities, Communicate with Suppliers to obtain necessary compliance documentation ensuring adherence to global regulations such as Substance Test Reports,
  • Supplier EH&S Declarations and certifications, DoNU, REACH, RoHS, FMD and other environmental directives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage chemical and material risks associated with products.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to product compliance, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), declarations and technical files.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary amendments to product designs and processes.
  • Handle Customer Environmental Requests (CER's) at salesforce flatform and fulfill Customer surveys/forms.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and future trends concerning EHS.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Chemical/ Environmental/ Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Industrial)
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory compliance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of global environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, DONU, FMD, Test reports and Halogen reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to product development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Extensive experience in managing compliance with global regulations.
  • Experience with regulatory databases and product compliance tools, such as SAP EH&S, IMDS, or similar systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Desktop tools like Word processing, MS-Excel, MS-Access, Presentations and Web development skills.
