Job summary

Lumax Industries in India is seeking a production planning professional responsible for creating daily, weekly and monthly production plans aligned with customer schedules. You will convert requirements into executable plans, coordinate with Purchase and Stores for critical components, monitor line loading, inventory levels and dispatch readiness to ensure uninterrupted production of wiring harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily / weekly / monthly production plans based on customer schedules.
• Convert customer requirements into production plans considering line capacity, manpower, machine capacity and material availability.
• Monitor line-wise production schedules and plan production based on harness model/variant/customer requirement.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of critical components.
• Monitor component shortages and plan actions to mitigate material risks.
• Track Plan vs. Actual production and take corrective actions for deviations.
• Ensure production aligns with dispatch requirements and customer schedules.
• Coordinate with Production for line loading, capacity planning and manpower requirements.
• Maintain optimum RM / WIP / FG inventory and monitor slow-moving inventory.
• Support new product / new line planning and capacity assessment.

Job description

Role Objective:

Responsible for production planning, material planning and coordination to ensure uninterrupted production of wiring harnesses as per customer schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily / weekly / monthly production plans based on customer schedules.
• Convert customer requirements into production plans considering line capacity, manpower, machine capacity and material availability.
• Prepare and monitor line-wise production schedules.
• Plan production based on harness model / variant / customer requirement.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of critical components.
• Monitor component shortages against production requirements.
• Identify shortage risks in advance and escape critical materials to Purchase.
• Monitor Plan vs. Actual production & take corrective actions for deviations.
• Monitor customer schedule adherence & ensure production as per dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate with Production for line loading, capacity planning & manpower requirements.
• Maintain optimum RM / WIP / FG inventory.
• Monitor slow-moving, excess and shortage inventory.
• Coordinate with Stores for material availability and line feeding.
• Support production sequencing to minimize changeover losses & line stoppages.
• Track bottleneck components / processes affecting production.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality, Engineering and Production for daily issue resolution.
• Strong follow-up with Purchase/Suppliers for critical material shortages.
• Support new product / new line planning and capacity assessment.
• Ensure effective coordination with central PPC team for Indent accuracy for N to N+3, for effective material & capacity planning
• Ensure effective coordination between Customer Schedule PPC Purchase Stores Production Dispatch.
