We are looking for an Engineer – Order Management & Supplier Performance responsible for managing purchase orders in the ERP system in line with production demand and material requirements. The role will focus on PO creation and maintenance, supplier delivery performance monitoring, OTIF measurement, supplier gap analysis, and delivery-date management in coordination with production and suppliers.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in supplier performance management, ERP‑based order management, production planning coordination, and supplier delivery improvement.

MAIN TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES

Purchase Order & Order Management

• Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system based on approved demand, production requirements, and material plans.
• Ensure PO quantities and delivery schedules are aligned with production requirements and demand planning.
• Monitor open POs and follow up with suppliers for timely confirmation and delivery.
• Maintain accurate PO data in ERP, including quantities, delivery dates, and other relevant parameters.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, and suppliers to resolve PO-related issues.
• Measure and monitor supplier OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance on a regular basis.
• Prepare supplier‑wise OTIF reports and performance dashboards.
• Identify suppliers with low OTIF performance and highlight recurring delivery issues.
• Conduct gap analysis to understand the reasons for supplier delivery failures.
• Categorize delivery gaps such as:
• Supplier capacity constraints
• Raw material availability
• Logistics/transportation issues
• Planning or communication gaps
• Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to define corrective and preventive actions.

Delivery Date Management in ERP

• Regularly review PO delivery dates against the latest production plan.
• Update/reschedule PO delivery dates in the ERP when there is a postponement or change in production requirements, including changes caused by production mix.
• Ensure ERP delivery dates accurately reflect the latest agreed requirement with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Production Planning and suppliers before making delivery‑date changes.
• Maintain proper records and visibility of changes to delivery schedules.
• Track supplier performance trends and identify recurring delivery issues.
• Conduct supplier‑wise performance gap analysis and support improvement actions.
• Follow up with suppliers on agreed recovery plans and monitor closure.
• Support supplier performance review meetings with relevant data and analysis.
• Escalate critical supplier delivery risks that may impact production.
• Develop and maintain supplier performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Production Planning, Procurement, Stores/Warehouse, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers.
• Communicate changes in production requirements and delivery schedules to suppliers.
• Ensure material availability is aligned with production requirements.
• Support resolution of shortages, delayed deliveries, excess deliveries, and other supply‑related issues.
• PO delivery adherence
• Material availability against production requirement
• Number/value of overdue POs
• Accuracy and timeliness of ERP PO updates
• Timely closure of supplier corrective actions

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in:
• Order Management
• Supply Chain / Materials Management
• Procurement Operations
• Production Planning coordination
• Experience in a manufacturing/automotive/engineering environment would be preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong understanding of Purchase Order and supplier delivery management.
• Good knowledge of OTIF measurement and supplier performance KPIs.
• Experience in supplier gap analysis and corrective-action follow-up.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to analyze supplier delivery data and identify trends/root causes.
• Strong follow‑up and coordination skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple POs/suppliers simultaneously.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with SAP MM / PP or equivalent ERP modules.
• Knowledge of MRP, production planning, and material requirement planning.
• Knowledge of supplier scorecards and performance dashboards.
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools.
• Knowledge of 8D, RCA, CAPA, or similar problem‑solving methodologies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will be an engineer with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in supplier performance and order management, who can independently manage PO schedules in ERP, monitor supplier OTIF, identify delivery‑performance gaps, coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, and ensure that ERP delivery dates remain synchronized with changing production requirements
