Job summary

Weir in Bangalore is looking for an Engineer - Order Management to drive end-to-end order processing, from SAP bookings to delivery, coordinating with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance.

You will track the full order lifecycle, validate pricing and availability, and prepare backlog and fulfillment reports using Excel. Occasional travel may be required to support cross-functional coordination and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Production, or MBA with specialization in Order Management.
• Hands-on ERP experience, preferably SAP; Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is also relevant.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to liaise with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a communication bridge between customers, sales and internal teams to resolve inquiries and changes such as cancellations or returns.
• Occasional travel may be required to support cross-functional engagement or customer engagement as needed.

What you ll do

• Order Processing Execution: Manage third-party order execution from booking in SAP through to delivery by coordinating with internal teams and external customers to ensure revenue conversion aligns with the revenue plan.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate daily with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores Warehouse, and Finance teams to validate pricing, product availability, and resolve order-related issues or delays.
• Order Lifecycle Monitoring: Track and monitor the entire order lifecycle, including backlog and fulfillment status, providing timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Reporting Analysis: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on order fulfillment, backlog, and performance metrics using advanced Excel skills to support decision-making and month-end audit activities.
• Customer Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key communication bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams, ensuring clarity and prompt resolution of inquiries and modifications such as cancellations or returns.
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support cross-functional coordination or customer engagement as needed.
