Job summary

Nutanix is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design system and sub-system components for UPS products and switchgears. You will develop enclosures, frames, chassis, and sheet metal brackets, while integrating electrical components like busbars and wire harnesses.

Strong CAD skills in Creo/SolidWorks and AutoCAD are essential. You will support cost-out initiatives, manufacturability improvements and PLM releases, working with a collaborative team to meet product form, fit & function requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in product design.
• Proficient in CAD modeling and drafting for mechanical enclosures and frames.

Responsibilities

• Design system/sub-system for UPS/products, switchgears, and accessories to meet form, fit & function.
• Develop enclosures, frames, chassis, sheet metal brackets, busbars and wire harness interfaces.
• Support cost-out, manufacturability and design for reliability.

What you’ll do:

"Mechanical Engineer to work on the system / sub-system design and modification to meet product form, fit & function requirements for UPS products or other switchgears and accessories, support product cost out and manufacturability (mechanical). Hands on Experience in designing enclosures, frames, chassis, & sheet metal brackets, along with electrical component like Busbar and wireharness. Strong CAD modeling skills in Creo/Solid Works & AutoCAD, PLM Enovia, who will also support efforts in developing design, cost-effective and reliable product solutions. Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques and development processes. Problem solvers who are excited about learning new technologies, understand and develop actions to increase maturity, work with team members for concept generation, detailed design, drafting and industrialization activities."
